Changing your Twitter Background Image

Dec 14th, 2008

It’s easy and only takes a couple of minutes, just log in to your Twitter account.

Click on the “Settings” tap in the menu. It’s on the upper toolbar of your Twitter home page.

Once you are on the settings page, click on the “Design“ tab.

If all went as planned you are now on the “Design Your Twitter” page.

Select the “Change background image” link. This allows you to change the background on your Twitter page.

Pick “Browse” and locate the folder on your computer containing your favorite background image. The image you choose should be smaller than 800kb. Now choose your image file and click on the “Open” tab.

Click the “Use Background Image” located under the stock background images and the “Browse” button.

You’re probably going to want to tile your background image. You can do this by checking the “Tile” box on the “Design” page.

Save your settings by clicking “Save.”

That’s it, easy right?

Do it once and you’ll be a pro, change it whenever the urge strikes … keep em guessing!
