website traffic strategies You do have a linking strategy, right? When you look at your linking strategy do you think more about getting links from a site with high page-rank or links from sites that people may actually read and follow, you know targeted traffic? Are your words actually adding value to the topic being discussed or just over-used keyword loaded phrases?

If your search engine rankings dropped today would you still have an online business or are you a slave to the search engines? While it is true that the engines can give you more traffic, you must realize that traffic generation is not all about them. By focusing solely on search traffic you will find yourself in a vicious and endless cycle.

Are you forgetting that website traffic is really people visiting your site, not some vague number on your daily stats? People just like you and me that are tired of marketers and suspicious of everyone on the internet and every offer they see. People are also growing blind to advertising because the ads they see are so hyped and unrealistic.

Have you lost sight or forgotten how to build lasting relationships with your visitors? Do you think more about search engines and keywords than you do about your content, and is your copy capable of converting visitors into customers?

Visitors like to get involved in the conversations, and many of them like to contribute to your posts. When you write a post, ask questions or ask their opinion. You’ll receive more comments and more of your visitors will come back to your site.

Are you trying to connecting with real people or machines? If you have lost sight of your main objectives then perhaps it is time to re-evaluate your online perspective. When was the last time a machine bought anything from you anyway? If you are trying to create relationships with real people, write to people, and forget about the machines.
